Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Here is the proof that what I say is true: “This year you will eat only what grows up by itself, and next year you will eat what springs up from that. But in the third year you will plant crops and harvest them; you will tend vineyards and eat their fruit. -Isaiah 37:30[NLT]

As the new year of 2025 is dawning upon us, it’s good to know from the Lord that He is working out His plan and purpose on this earth. This includes each of us! He who made the heavens and earth has ordained a specific plan for each of our lives and the result of the outworking of this plan in us brings glory to His Holy name. As we surrender our life in absolute obedience to His voice, He will be expanding the ministry far and wide and it will be proven by a sign as told us from above verse. This was a sign given to King Hezekiah during his difficult times. We were been passing through a difficult times all these recent years and God will deal bountifully with our situation by first of all revealing His divine glory in our lives and then through us to the dying world outside.

In our reading context for today we see a similar situation happening in the history of His chosen children Judah. When Sennacherib the Assyrian king marched against them and encircled them with intimidation, the King of Judah brought the matter before God in prayer. Isaiah 37:1-13 talks about Hezekiah seeking help from Isaiah; Isa 37:14-20 is Hezekiah's prayer for deliverance .The letter of intimidation written by the King of Assyrian is opened in front of God in His temple. God answered through the Prophet Isaiah; and Isa 37:21-38 is Sennacherib’s fall and God's answer to the cry of the king.

From the context God assures redemption from the hand of an enemy and assures growth and prosperity for His people in the coming years. God gives the clear assurance with a sign. The sign of God’s assurance is what God is talking to us in the key verse of today.

As we read it in Psalms: “Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him".(Psalm 126:5-6)

God has promised to expand our territory as He has long spoken from:

“Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.

(Isa 54:2-3)

As we look forward the enemy of our soul had caused many devastations in our life. But God will restore and replenish us and bless us with a bountiful harvest. In the coming days as we sow in tears, we will surely reap the benefit in joyful harvest. The field is white and God is preparing us His servants to bring in the final harvest before His coming. As God is preparing His church for His coming, He is also preparing us to do this mighty harvest. There will be people from among us going out in the coming 3 years, going out into the mission fields to harvest. He will bless us with the harvest.

Prayer: Abba Father, here we surrender our lives to fulfil your divine purposes in the coming years and prepare us to meet you face to face on that glory day…
