TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL

THANKS GIVING & PRAYER -2019

Wednesday, 2 January 2019

Colossians 1 : 1-18

“… giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit for a share of the inheritance of the saints in light, who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love…” -Colossians 1:12-13 [LITV]

We Thank The Father and our Lord Jesus Christ:

We the Missionaries, appointed by the Lord Jesus to represent Him in all the areas we were called to minister, are looking back  the last 9 years and want to thank God for all the saints and the faithful ones in our Mission areas. May the Grace and Peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, be with you all in this New Year.  [Read Colossians 1:1-3]

We as a ministry are committed to giving thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with continual prayer for you all. We hear of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love towards each other in the Lord, because of the hope being laid up for us in Heaven. This hope arises in our hearts because you believed the Word of Truth that is the Gospel. This Gospel has reached you in its right time and is bearing fruit unto all good works in the Lord. Eph 2:10: “…for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.’  [Read Col.1:4-6]

We take this opportunity to thank all the Leaders, in all our mission fields, who faithfully bring this good news in all its clarity, to all the saints all over the World. Their faithfulness is remembered before the Lord by us the Missionary team, and we appreciate your faithfulness and hard work in the most difficult and challenging conditions prevailing in our fields. God bless you all to be more fruitful in this New Year 2019.  [Read Col 1:7]

We pray and intercede for:

  • Your love in the Spirit grows to maturity in the Lord with all wisdom and knowledge. Phil. 1:9: “And this I pray, that your love may yet abound more and more in full knowledge and all perception.”
    [Read Col. 1:8]

  • Perfection of each one of you in the Knowledge of His will in all wisdom and Spiritual understanding. Rom 12:2: “And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.”
    [Read Col. 1:9-10; Col 4:12]

  • Becoming fruitful Christians in this world by walking worthy of the Lord.  John 15:16: “You have not chosen Me, but I chose you out and planted you, that you should go and should bear fruit, and your fruit remain, that whatever you should ask the Father in My name, He may give you.”
    [Read Col. 1:10; 2:6 & 4:5; 1Thes. 2:12]

  • Being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory in all patience and long suffering. Eph 3:16: “…that He may give you, according to the riches of His glory, by His power to become mighty in the inward man through His Spirit…”
    (Col 1:11; Eph 3:16).

We are Confident that our prayers are answered:
1John 5:14-15: “And this is the confidence we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.”

Blessings, Blessings, Blessings! in this new year to all who read this meditation today. May this year be a walk with the Lord of Love…A walk to the very shores of Eternity….

Reflect on:

“I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart;

I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.”

-Psalm 9:1 ESV
