HE KNOCKS—OPEN!

Saturday, 6 January, 2018

Song of Solomon 5 : 1-16

“I sleep, but my heart is awake; It is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, "Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night." (Son. 5:2)

Oh! my soul have you heard thy perfect lover knocking at thy door waiting to come in? Are you not aware that you are fully His own; then how can you carelessly sleep devoid of the warmth of His presence around you? How can you be at peace and at ease without the divine protection of Him who loves you so much?  The LORD calls us to arise from our sleep and slumber! Arise; shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. (Isa.60:1) Also He reminds us in (Eph.5:14)Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

The Bride of Christ- the Church is sleeping:

‘I sleep, but my heart is awake; It is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, “Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.” (Son 5:2) The very attitude of most part of the church is like this- they are sleeping. Like the church in Laodicea- the church in these latter days is sleeping and that is why the Lord says-(Rev.3:20): “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” The Lord is graciously waiting and knocking at the door. My beloved put his hand By the latch of the door, And my heart yearned for him.(Son 5:4)  As we see here the Lord’s dealings with our heart are tender and it produces a response deep inside. We need to be careful to take heed to these divine dealings and respond wise; otherwise the Lord will retreat and His presence in our lives will vanish and we will be at great loss. Nothing in this world can really replace this and we will in turn wander in dry lands seeking for a comfort for our souls. Unless the heavenly arm surrounds us, we will never be satisfied. All others will only rob you off your peace and sanctity of your soul. But the lover of our soul will give us ..the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  (Phil.4:7)

The door of communion: The Lord has kept the door of heaven open and is knocking at our heart’s door for a divine communion and fellowship. “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”  (Rev.4:1). We should be wise enough to respond and enter into that heavenly realm where there is real joy and love. This is not available at all in this earthly realm. All is gloomy and dark here. But to the soul that responds to His call, this joy is available.

Dear reader, have you heard this call? Have you experienced these divine dealings from heaven?

Are we ready to respond?

Actions Required: Awake, Arise and open for Him. You will see the wonders of heaven.
